A Dream Comes True for Eight Rural Children from Bujagala Village, Kiboga

On September 18, a heartwarming journey began for eight young children from the rural Bujagala village in Kiboga as they took their first steps into the best local boarding school. The children’s moms, all members of WWK’s local partner BKWG, are overjoyed as this was dream coming true that would help them to break the cycle of generational poverty for children. Thanks to the generous support of Bain Capital Community Partnership, the Kiboga Local Leadership Council and WWK, the NGO team ensured that these children will have everything they needed for school: from tuition to scholastic materials, books and bedding. Additionally, the mothers of these children will be employed by the NGO to maintain a maize and bean farm in Kiboga, ensuring the sustainability of their children’s education. This initiative is not only transforming the lives of these young learners, but also empowering their mothers and the entire village.

As another term begins in February 2024, we are also delighted to share that a family foundation has supported the children for another term in school!
